Resumen: All the information in this reseach is the result of bibliographical resources, the researching is presented in three chapters, the first one is concerting to a general view about the different methodologies and the way the focus speaking in the teaching- learning process. The second chapter refers to the classsification of the spech activities according to the level of proficiency and the frequency that the speech occurs in the classroom. Four groups of activities were indentified.
